Vector Artwork Files
- supply in native file format if possible: Illustrator (.ai); .eps accepted as well.
- save as Postscript with no Postscript errors.
- build files with no stray points.
- assign colors consistently using standard Pantone library if possible.
- delete all unused colors from your color palette.
- convert all type to outlines (curves).
- provide fonts in case future text changes needed.
- if file contains placed raster images, make sure they meet resolution requirements (300 ppi) when rendered at 100% and submit placed file with the vector file.
Raster Artwork Files
- size all elements and art at 100% or larger of actual print size.
- build files so that at 100% actual print size, resolution is 300 pixels-per-inch (do not save a low-resolution file up to 300 ppi; this will not improve image quality).
- supply as TIFF file format or native file format: Photoshop (.psd) with appropriate layers intact.
- do not supply JPEG or GIF files (appropriate for web but not for print).
- create elements in proper color space (RGB, CMYK, grayscale, or bitmapped).
Acrobat (PDF) Files
- if PDF created from vector file, save with editing capabilities intact.
- if PDF created from page layout document (Quark, Pagemaker, etc), include source documents, fonts and all supporting files.
- if PDF file contains raster elements, see file requirements above for raster artwork.
- if PDF file contains vector elements, see file requirements above for vector artwork.
Other Files
- produce artwork with professional graphic arts software only.
- do not use programs such as
Microsoft Word or Publisher; they are not capable of producing art
files of the quality necessary for printing purposes.
- contact us if you do not have the proper software for creating your artwork.
Fonts

Supplied Proofs
- submit hard copy proof of final art or the electronic equivalent (JPEGs preferred but properly prepared PDF files will work).
Sending Artwork to Authentic Imprints
- if under 2mb, attach compressed file or file folder to monesatlc@comcast.net if over 2mb, send files on Zip or CD to Authentic Imprints, 5910 NE 64th St, Vancouver, WA 98661.
